Strings

Violin, Viola, Cello, Contrabass

They are all played with a bow and participate in the symphony orchestra. All the same shape but differ in volume, with the violin being the smallest and the double bass the largest. They all have four strings, they are wooden, they have the same color and their necks are without frets. For the needs of the lessons of young children, special small instruments are available, respectively according to the physique of the child*.

Weekly course duration per level:
• Preliminary – Lower 40 ΄
• Middle 60΄
• Upper 90΄
• Professional department 100

Duration of studies per class
♦ Preliminary: Two-year / One-year study (double bass)
♦ Lower: Two-year study (viola – cello) / Three-year (violin) / One-year (double bass)
♦ Middle: Three-Year / Two-Year Study (double bass)
♦ Higher: Three-year or four-year study

The above duration of studies is the minimum.
*Except contrabass

• Theory and Solfeggio should start from the beginning of the study. Solfeggio continues in parallel with Harmony.
• Harmony and Mandatory Piano should start as early as possible.
• History, Morphology and Chamber Music must start no later than the 1st senior, otherwise the student may not be ready in time for the Graduate or Diploma Exams.
• At least 2 years of Harmony knowledge is required to study Morphology.
